AFRICAN ACCESS HOLDINGS DONATES R50,000 TO A MOM IN A DESPERATE DRIVE TO SAVE HER LITTLE GIRL.
When a single mom was given devastating news that her precious little 4 year old baby girl had an incurable brain tumour, she was crushed.
A month after receiving the news, Single Mom Zai Card was convinced that she had found a treatment what would save her child's life.
Zai's mission was to raise the R400,000 it would cost to take Layla to the Berzynski clinic in Houston - Texas, whom could treat this rare illness and whom had successfully saved four other South African children suffering from same.
When African Access Holdings CEO - Shaun Battlemann heard about this little girls plight, he instantly agreed to make a R50,000 donation towards the medical costs.
In reply to the Card Family's expression of gratitude, Mr Battlemann simply said 'Just as in the Adam Langley instance, I made this personal commitment instantaneously on the following basis -
My heart was in it and as Mandela also quoted "No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child". If my loved ones ever needed a helping hand, my prayer is that the Lord places an Uncle Shaun in their lives'.
